WTC 2025-27 schedule announced, know when and against whom Team India will play?
ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 Full Schedule: A day after South Africa won the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 title, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of WTC 2025-27. A total of 71 matches will be played between 9 teams in this. It is going to start on June 17. The first match will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Galle, Sri Lanka. According to the schedule, Australia will play the maximum number of 22 matches this time, while England will have to play 21 matches. Both teams will clash with each other during the Ashes series later this year. Team India will start its campaign with the first Test match against England from June 20. This match will be played in Leeds.
Team India will play 18 test matches
Team India, led by Shubman Gill, will play a total of 18 Test matches during WTC 2025-27. It is going to start with a 5-Test series against England from June 20. After this, Team India will play a Test series at home against West Indies, South Africa, and Australia. Apart from this, it will play Test matches on the tour of Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

In WTC 2023-25, Team India had to settle for the third position, but this time, most of its matches are at home, so it would like to win at any cost. The biggest challenge in this is Australia. Australia has to tour India this time. Team India would like to avenge the previous defeat by winning the five-Test series against Australia.
The defending champion will play the first Test match in October:
Defending champions South Africa will begin their campaign in October. They will play a Test series in Pakistan, while South African fans are eagerly waiting for September 2026, when their team will play a three-Test series against Australia at home.

In the World Test Championship 2025-27, only England and Australia will play 5 matches each, more than Team India. During the WTC, Australia will play the maximum number of 22 Test matches, while England will play 21 Test matches.
