IND vs South africa : India Wins ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025 Trophy

IND vs South africa , India has won its second World Cup in seven months. The Indian U-19 women’s team created history by becoming champions for the second consecutive time and entering the final, defeating South Africa by 9 wickets. The Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly in the final. The Indian bowlers allowed the South African team to score 82 runs in 20 overs. After this, Team India won by 9 wickets due to Gongadi Trisha’s explosive innings.

The Indian women’s U-19 cricket team has won the T20 World Cup title for the second consecutive time. The tournament began in 2023 and the Indian team won the first match. Shafali Verma was the captain of Team India at that time. Now, two years later, in the second edition of the tournament, the Indian team has become the champion for the second consecutive time under the captaincy of Nikki Prasad.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, South Africa scored 82 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Team India achieved the target in 11.2 overs for the loss of one wicket. In the final, Gongdi Trisha gave an all-round performance. Along with taking three wickets, she also scored an unbeaten 44 runs.

In the match played at the Bemas Oval Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, South Africa captain Reneke won the toss and decided to bat first. However, his decision was proven wrong. The team had a poor start. South Africa got its first blow in the form of Simon Lawrence in the second over. Parunika Sisodia clean bowled him. Simon could not open his account after that.


Then in the fourth over, Shabnam Shakeel got JJ Botha caught by Kamlini. Gemma scored 16 runs in 14 balls with the help of three fours. South Africa got their third blow in the fifth over with a score of 20. Ayush Shukla bowled Diira Ramalakkan. He scored three runs.

After this, Kayla Reinecke and Karabo Maceo put on a 20-run partnership for the fourth wicket. This partnership was broken by Gongadi Trisha. She caught Reinecke out by Parunika. Reinecke scored seven runs in 21 balls. After this, Ayush Shukla Maceo bowled. He scored 10 runs in 26 balls. After this, Gongadi Trisha also dismissed Mike van Voorst and Seshani Nayudu. Mike scored 23 runs in 18 balls. While Seshani could not open his account.

Baishnav Sharma dismissed Faye Crawling for 15 while Monalisa Legodi was dismissed for a duck. Parunika dismissed Ashley Van Wyck off the last ball of the innings. Ashley failed to open her account. Four South African players failed to open their accounts. Gongadi took the most wickets for India with three. While Parunika Sisodia, Ayush Shukla and Baishnav Sharma took two wickets each. Shabnam Shakeel got one wicket.

It has been just seven months since the Indian team won the 2024 T20 World Cup title in June last year. The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, won the Men’s T20 World Cup title. In that match, India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the final. This is the second World Cup that India has won in the last seven months.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated the Indian team on social media, writing, “Our Indian Women’s Under-19 team has won the ICC Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025. Their outstanding performance and determination have made the nation proud. This victory is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our girls. It proves that the future of Indian women’s cricket is brighter than ever,” the Chief Minister said.
