Pakistani celebrities Instagram accounts unblocked without official announcement
India Lifts Ban On Pakistan YouTube Channels, celebrities!: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India took strict action and banned the social media accounts of all Pakistani artists in India. Now the ban on the social media accounts of Pakistani artists has been lifted. However, no official announcement has been made regarding the lifting of the ban. The accounts of many celebs like Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan are still restricted.
Whose accounts became active again in India
Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, who appeared in the Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam, is now seen active on Instagram in India. Apart from her, the accounts of artists like Saba Qamar, Yumna Zaidi, Danish Taimur, and Ahad Raza Mir have also become active.
These accounts are restricted in India
Actress Hania Aamir’s Instagram account, which appeared in the film Sardar Ji 3 with Diljit Dosanjh, is restricted in India. On opening the account, it will be written that the account does not exist in India. Apart from Hania, the accounts of Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, and Atif Aslam are also not available.
Ban on YouTube channels
Let us tell you that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the accounts of Pakistani artists were restricted due to the legal request of the Indian government. Apart from this, on the recommendation of the Home Ministry, the Indian government banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels. These channels were accused of spreading inflammatory, communal, and misleading news against India, the Indian Army, and security agencies.
There was a ban even after the Uri attack
It is worth noting that after the Uri attack in 2016, all Pakistani artists were banned from working in India. In 2023, the Bombay High Court rejected the petition to ban Pakistani artists, saying that artists cannot be punished due to political tension. After the ban was lifted in 2023, Pakistani artists were again given work in Hindi cinema. Hania Aamir got work in the film Sardar 3 with Diljit Dosanjh, while Fawad Khan was about to make a Bollywood comeback with the film Abir Gulaal. However, after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, the release of Fawad’s film Abir Gulaal was stopped, which was to be released on 9 May. On the other hand, the film Sardar Ji 3 has been released overseas instead of India.
