Indian Air Force Recruitment 2025 : Indian Air Force (IAF) has released recruitment for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2. As per the announcement, the AFCAT application process will start from June 2. Interested and eligible candidates for these posts can fill the application form by visiting the official website (fcat.cdac.in).
Indian Air Force Recruitment 2025– 284 posts
The aim of this recruitment drive is to fill a total of 284 posts including Male Female in departments like Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches, and NCC Special Entry.
• Flying Branch: 3 Vacancies
• Ground Duty (Technical): 156 Vacancies
• Ground Duty (Non-Technical): 125 Vacancies
• NCC Special Entry: 10% of the total COSE vacancies of Permanent Commission and 10% of the total AFCAT vacancies of Short Service Commission (SSC) are reserved for NCC candidates.
This is how the selection will be done
The selection process of candidates for AFCAT 2 2025 will consist of written test, AFSB test and medical examination. AFCAT is conducted to select candidates for entry into Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches/NCC Special Entry.

Eligibility Criteria for Flying Branch
For Flying Branch candidates must have minimum 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and three year graduation degree or BE/BTech degree with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty (Technical) Branch
For Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) (AE(L)) candidates must have minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and Bachelor/Postgraduate degree in Engineering and Technology from a recognized University.
AFCAT Age Limit
• Flying Branch: Applicant must be at least 20 years of age and the maximum age for Flying Branch is 24 years. The maximum age limit is relaxable up to 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India).
• Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: Minimum age for Ground Duty is 20 years and upper age limit is 26 years.

Exam Pattern
The selection process includes a written exam, an Air Force Selection Force (AFSB) interview and a medical exam. The AFCAT written exam is of 300 marks. A total of 100 questions are asked in the two-hour exam. The exam is asked in various subjects like General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. All the questions will be objective type in English. Also, there will be negative marking for wrong answers. In which one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Application Fee
To apply, candidates of all categories have to pay a fee of Rs 550 + GST. Candidates will not have to pay any application fee for NCC entry.
