In the press conference, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said that Operation Sindoor was carried out based on solid intelligence input. She said that the training center of Lashkar-e-Taiba, located in Muzaffarabad, was targeted and destroyed, where terrorists were given proper training. She further said that through this operation, action was taken to break the backbone of the terrorists. Apart from this, Barnala Camp and Sialkot’s Mahmoona Camp were also completely demolished.

Apart from this, at the beginning of this press conference, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri clarified the intention of the Indian government behind Operation Sindoor. He said that India has strong evidence that Pakistan is a haven for terrorists. India targeted the terrorist hideouts in Pakistan in a measured manner. Misri said that the Pahalgam attack was the most serious incident in terms of the number of civilians killed in a terrorist attack in India after the attack on 26 November 2008. It was a barbaric attack where people present were shot in the head from close range in front of their families. The family members were deliberately hurt by this method of killing, and they were also advised to go back and convey this message.
