His early exposure to cricket came from his father, Sanjeev, who recognized Vaibhav’s potential and built a practice area at home. By the age of 9, Vaibhav was training at a cricket academy, showing immense promise.

His performances in state-level tournaments like the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, where he amassed 400 runs in five matches, helped him stand out as a prodigious talent.

At 12, Vaibhav’s journey took a significant leap when he joined India B Under-19s for a quadrangular series. This made him the youngest first-class cricketer in India since 1986.
