Sagarika Nath becomes NIA SP
IPS Sagarika Nath Appointed As SP Of NIA : Sagarika Nath, an IPS officer of the 2016 Odisha cadre, will go on central deputation. She has been appointed as SP of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Sagarika is currently working as SP of Khurda. No one else has been appointed in her place. However, while the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) had issued an order on July 31 regarding the appointment of Sagarika as NIA SP, the Chief Secretary has been directed to immediately release her to join the post of central deputation.
Odisha IPS officer Sagarika Nath is widely known for her dedicated service and bravery throughout Odisha. While in the Commissionerate Police, she was known for her good conduct and taking strong action against traffic violators.
It is worth noting that Sagarika’s home is in Dhenkanal district. She passed her matriculation from Delhi Public School, Damanjodi and did her secondary education in Visakhapatnam. After completing her degree in Electrical Engineering from CET, Bhubaneswar, she qualified the UPSC Civil Services Examination and joined the IPS in 2016.
