Jagdeep Dhankhar Resigns As Vice President: Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from the post of Vice President. He cited health reasons behind this. Dhankhar wrote in a letter to the President that I resign from the post of Vice President of India to give priority to health care and follow medical advice. this will come into effect immediately.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, in a letter to President Draupadi Murmu, has offered his resignation under Article 67(a) of the Constitution, citing health issues and medical advice.
Why Jagdeep Dhankhar Resigns As Vice President?
In a letter to President Draupadi Murmu, Jagdeep Dhankhar wrote Giving priority to health and following medical advice, I am resigning from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect.
Apart from this, he also thanked President Murmu for her cooperation and cordial relations. Apart from this, he also expressed gratitude for the support and guidance received from PM Modi and the Council of Ministers. Please note that the tenure of the Vice President was till 2027.
He wrote, ‘I express my deep gratitude to the Honourable President of India for his unwavering spirit of cooperation and the cordial and commendable working relationship built during my tenure.’
Dhankhar wrote, ‘I also express my heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister and the distinguished Council of Ministers. The cooperation and support of the Prime Minister has been extremely valuable, and I have learned a lot during my tenure.’ He wrote, ‘The affection, trust and belongingness I received from all the honorable members of Parliament will always be etched in my memory.’
Dhankhar said, ‘I am extremely grateful for the invaluable experience and insight I gained as the Vice President of India. It has been a matter of pride and satisfaction for me to witness and participate in India’s remarkable economic progress and unprecedented development. It has been a true honor for me to serve in this transformative period of our nation. As I leave this prestigious post, I feel proud of India’s global progress and amazing achievements, and I have full faith in its bright future.’
