More than 7 lakh devotees visit Kedarnath in a month, turnover worth Rs 200 crore
Kedarnath Yatra Generates Rs 200 Crore Business In One Month: The journey to Kedarnath Dham is making records not only in the number of pilgrims but also in business. Since the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham, 7 lakh devotees have visited Baba in a month. A business of around 200 crores has been done in the one-month-long journey. 100 crores have been earned from the hotel business, 35 crores from the heli service, and 40.50 crores from the horse and mule operation. The doors of Baba Kedar opened on 2nd May.
So far, more than seven lakh pilgrims have visited Kedarnath Dham. This is increasing the employment of local people. Kedarnath Dham Yatra is one of the most difficult religious journeys in the country. After crossing a difficult walking route of around 20 kilometers, one can have the darshan of the 11th Jyotilinga nestled in the lap of the Himalayas.
Horses and mules play a very important role in this difficult religious journey on foot. Disabled and elderly devotees often travel through them. Food items and other essential items are transported to the pilgrimage route and Kedarnath through these horses and mules.
Till May 31, 1,39,444 pilgrims reached Kedarnath on horses and mules. Through this, an income of more than 40 crore 50 lakhs has been received. 100 crores have been received from the hotel business, and GMVN has received more than 3.80 crores from the booking of the rest house and meditation cave.
