Legendary Filmmaker Ramanand Sagar’s Son Prem Sagar Passes Away At 81: The TV industry has suffered another major setback. On the morning of August 31, the news of the death of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actress Priya Marathe came. It was said that she had cancer. Now, Ramanand Sagar’s son and producer, Prem Sagar, has also bid farewell to this world. He also died at 10 am. He was ill for a long time. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. On August 31, the doctors asked to take him home.
According to reports, Prem Sagar’s last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai. He was not only the son of Ramanand Sagar. But he was also a great producer and cinematographer. Celebrities from the film and TV world are mourning his demise. Prem Sagar was 84 years old. He had taken training from the Film and Television Institute of India. He was a student of the 1968 batch.

Prem Sagar worked as a still photographer and cinematographer in many projects made under the banner of Ramanand Sagar’s production house, Sagar Arts. He directed ‘Alif Laila’. Apart from this, he also produced ‘Kakbhushundi Ramayan’ (2024) and ‘Kamadhenu Gaumata’ (2025). He also worked on projects like ‘Hum Tere Aashiq Hain’ (1979), ‘Basera’ (2009), and ‘Jai Jai Shiv Shankar’ (2010).
