Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday made a big announcement for women. The Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme has been approved in Bihar. Under this scheme, a woman from every family in the state will be given assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to start her own business. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared the decision of the cabinet meeting on social media and said that many important steps are being taken to empower and make women self-reliant.
Women are contributing to the progress of Bihar through their hard work. Under this mission, the Cabinet has approved a new scheme for women. Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, one woman from each family will be given money to start an occupation of their choice.

How much money will you get in the first installment? Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, every woman from every family in Bihar will be given Rs 10,000 as the first installment to start employment. After this, a six-month evaluation will be done by the administration and additional financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh can be provided as per the requirement.
When will the money arrive in the account? According to information, the money for the first installment under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme will start arriving from next September. This money will be sent directly to the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the woman.
How to apply? Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, women who want to start their own business can apply soon. The application process is going to start very soon.
The Rural Development Department will be responsible for the organization and implementation of this scheme. However, the Urban Development and Housing Department will also help in this. Apart from employment, haat bazaars will also be developed for women to sell their products from villages to cities.
Eligibility: To avail the benefits of the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, a woman must be a citizen of Bihar. Apart from this, only one woman from a family can apply under this scheme. While applying for the scheme, you have to give complete information about the employment you want to start. No money will be given for work that falls in the prohibited list.
