Maithili Thakur total assets
The nomination process for the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections has ended. The assets of singer Maithili Thakur, the youngest BJP candidate, have been revealed. According to her election affidavit, Maithili Thakur has assets worth crores of rupees.
In the affidavit filed with her nomination, BJP candidate for Alinagar Assembly seat Maithili has declared her total movable assets to be Rs 2,32,33,255. She also has cash of Rs 1.80 lakh, vehicles worth over Rs 2 crore and valuable jewellery. Apart from this, she has self-acquired assets worth Rs 47 lakh, whose current market value is Rs 1.5 crore.

Maithili has been filing income tax returns regularly. She has declared an income of Rs 28,67,350 for the financial year 2023-24, which was Rs 16,98,840 in 2022-23. Earlier, she had declared an income of Rs 15,93,730 in 2021-22, Rs 11,15,150 in 2020-21 and Rs 12,02,960 in 2019-20. The affidavit also mentions that her sources of income are singing, social media and brand endorsements.
Maithili’s highest educational qualification is a BA program, which she completed from Bharati College, University of Delhi. She was born on 25 July 2000 and is currently 25 years old. Originally from Uran village in Benipatti police station area of Madhubani district of Bihar, Maithili was interested in music since childhood.
Her father, Ramesh Thakur, is a music teacher and taught Maithili her early music lessons. Her mother, Pooja Thakur, is a housewife. Her two brothers, Rishiv Thakur and Ayachi Thakur, are also active in music. Maithili has gained recognition not only in Bihar but across the country for her melodious voice and folk songs. She has millions of followers on social media and is considered the voice of Mithila culture. Now, she has made a new attempt and entered politics.
