Monsoon Touches Andaman : The forecast made by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has come true. The southwest monsoon has reached the Andaman Sea. The southwest monsoon will advance over the South Bay of Bengal and South Andaman on Tuesday. Later, it will advance over the Nicobar Islands and some areas of the North Andaman, the India Meteorological Department has informed.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the southwest monsoon will hit Kerala on May 27. Usually, the monsoon reaches Kerala in June. But this time, the Meteorological Department has estimated that the monsoon will reach Kerala early. If the monsoon reaches Kerala by May 27, then it will be the first time since 2009. In 2009, the monsoon reached Kerala on May 23.

Usually, the southwest monsoon reaches Kerala on June 1 and brings rains across India. The monsoon withdraws from the northwest region of India in September. It is estimated that the monsoon will withdraw completely from the northwest region of India by October.
