Each day of Navratri is dedicated to some form of Goddess Durga. Goddess Durga is considered the Adi Shakti, whose worship fulfills every wish of the devotee. The festival of Sharadiya Navratri is currently underway. On the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, September 22, 2025, Goddess Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga, was worshipped. Now, on the second day, September 23, 2025, Goddess Brahmacharini will be worshipped.
worshuip method of maa brahmacharini –First wake up before sunrise ,bathe and wear clean cloths , Then sprinkle ganga water over the place of worship to purify it . Now light a lamp in your home temple . offer rice ,grain ,vermillion,and red floers to maa durga . Then offer food to the goddess . Light incense and a lamp recite the durga chalisa and then perform aarti for the goddess .
Auspicious time to worship Goddess Brahmacharini
On the second day of Navratri, the Brahma Muhurta for worship is from 4:54 am to 5:41 am, followed by Abhijit Muhurta from 12:08 pm to 12:56 pm. The evening Sandhya Muhurta is from 6:35 pm to 7:46 pm. You can perform evening worship during these times.
Mother Brahmacharini’s favorite things
• Flower- Jasmine
• Colour- White and Yellow
• Sweets – Milk based sweets
• Fruits – bananas, apples, and orange
Method of worship of Mother Brahmacharini
• After taking bath etc., wear pure white or yellow colored clothes.
• Install the idol or picture of Maa Brahmacharini near the idol of Maa Durga.
• Take a vow of fasting by holding water or Akshat in your hand.
• Offer fruits, flowers, sweets, clothes, Akshat and sandalwood to the Goddess.
• Light a lamp, incense and a ghee lamp.
• Chant the mantras of Maa Brahmacharini and listen or read the story of the fast.
