Non-Veg Sale Banned On Key Routes In Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big step to maintain the sanctity of religious places in Ayodhya. On his instructions, now the sale of meat and fish (non-veg) will be completely stopped on Rampath, Dharmapath, Bhaktipath, 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg, and Panchkosi Parikrama Marg. On Wednesday, Assistant Commissioner Food Manik Chand Singh inspected these holy routes with his team.

The officials first visited the 13 km long Rampath from Sahadatganj of Ayodhya Cantt to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk of Ayodhya Dham. During this period, shopkeepers selling non-vegetarian items were clearly instructed to close their shops within seven days. If shopkeepers do not close their shops within this time limit, the Municipal Corporation’s enforcement team will take action.

Non-veg shopkeepers got seven days:

Assistant Food Commissioner Manik Chand Singh said that the shopkeepers still have some goods left, so they have been given seven days on humanitarian grounds. Complaints were being received continuously on the CM portal and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Janta Darbar that non-veg is being sold at Ram Janmabhoomi and the paths connected to it. Taking these complaints seriously, the Municipal Corporation has passed a proposal to ban non-veg on the initiative of Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi.

After Pran Pratishtha, daily worship will start in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. However, the date for worship for the devotees has not been decided yet. Champat Rai, general secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust, said that earlier it was thought that after Pran Pratishtha on June 5, the temple would be opened for the general devotees to visit, but the construction work in the complex has not been completed yet. The work of connecting the four corners of the rampart, removing debris, and cleaning is still going on.

A limited number of devotees will be allowed to visit Ram Darbar:

A limited number of devotees will be allowed to visit Ram Darbar. Every hour, 50 devotees will be allowed to visit, and in a day, around 800 devotees will be able to visit. The pinnacle and urn on top of Ram Darbar, situated on the first floor of Ram Mandir, have been studded with gold. Urns and flags have also been placed on the pinnacle of all the temples.

It is worth noting that the construction of the grand Ram temple on Ram Janmabhoomi started after a long struggle, and now it is almost complete. A large number of devotees are reaching Ayodhya these days. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said many times before that maintaining the religious dignity of Ayodhya is the priority of the state government. The ban on non-veg sale is also considered an important step in this direction. The Municipal Corporation and other departments are now constantly monitoring so that the purity of the holy places is maintained.
