Now You Can Make Calls Without Network : BSNL has given a big gift to its users. Now the company’s customers can make voice calls even without a mobile network. BSNL has launched its new VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) service. Through which users can make calls through a Wi-Fi connection instead of a mobile network. With this step, BSNL has now become at par with private companies like Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea. Who are already providing this facility.
BSNL has recently expanded its 4G service across the country. In this, BSNL has now launched VoWiFi service. This service was soft-launched by Department of Telecommunications (DoT) Secretary Neeraj Mittal on October 2. Currently, this service has been launched in South and West circles. But soon it will be available across the country. Along with this, BSNL has recently launched 4G and eSIM service in Mumbai. Which was earlier launched in Tamil Nadu.
How will BSNL’s VoWiFi service work?
This service will be especially useful in areas with weak mobile networks. Users can make clear and stable calls without interruption using their home Wi-Fi or broadband connection. However, users must have a smartphone that supports VoWiFi. Most new Android and iPhone models now include this option in the settings.
BSNL has assured that this new VoWiFi service will be completely free. Users will not have to pay any additional charges for making calls. The company announced through its official X account that this service will provide customers with better connectivity and a smooth calling experience without any additional cost.
This move by BSNL has now put it in direct competition with major telecom players like Jio, Airtel, and Vi. These domestic companies were earlier offering Wi-Fi calling, but now BSNL has joined the fray.
