Odisha Govt: No need to pay money to travel by bus, students from class 1 to 10 can avail this facility.
Odisha Govt Announces Free Bus Rides For All School Students: From now on, students will travel by bus for free. Everyone will get free books. School and Public Education Minister Nityananda Gand has made this announcement. Earlier, books were provided free to SC and ST children. Children in the general category did not get this facility. But from now on, the government will provide free books to all children.
In addition, students will not have to pay bus fare. Children can travel free of cost in the Chief Minister’s bus by showing their uniform and I-card while travelling to school. Students from classes 1 to 10 can avail this facility.
On the other hand, there has been a major overhaul in the state’s education system. Primary education has received a booster dose from the state government. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed to strengthen primary education in Odisha as per the National Education Policy 2020. And 39,366 teacher posts will be created.
Similarly, ANMs will be appointed for children living in hostels. It has been decided to appoint one ANM for every 300 children. It is expected that this innovation will bring about a lot of improvement in the education system of the state.
