again pakistan threatens india
PAK General Threatens India : Pakistani military spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary has spewed venom against India. His recent speech about India is similar to that of terrorist Hafiz Saeed. Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai on November 26, 2008, has a history of giving provocative speeches against India and America. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, DG (ISPR) of the Pakistani army’s propaganda wing ‘Inter-Services Public Relations’, made the recent anti-India rhetoric during a speech at a university in Pakistan.
PAK General Threatens India
Referring to India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack, Choudhary said, “If you (Hindustan) stop our water, we will stop your breath.” The Indus Water Treaty deals with the terms of water sharing and management of the Indus river and its five tributaries – Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, Jhelum and Chenab – between India and Pakistan. The treaty also mandates regular exchange of information between India and Pakista. The World Bank is involved in this treaty as a mediator.
Meanwhile, India has made it clear on various occasions that ‘blood and water cannot flow together’. After the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, India took several major steps against Pakistan on April 23, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty. India has decided to keep this treaty suspended until Pakistan stops supporting cross-border terrorism. Apart from this, the Integrated Check Post at the Attari border was also immediately closed.
After this, India started Operation Sindoor on 7 May, under which air strikes were carried out on nine terrorist bases belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen in Pakistan and occupied Kashmir. In this action of India, the headquarters of Jaish in Bahawalpur and Lashkar in Muridke were destroyed. At least 100 terrorists were killed in India’s air strike on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. After this, Pakistan made a failed attempt to attack India. India not only neutralised Pakistan’s drones and missile attacks with its strong air defence system, but the Indian Air Force jammed its air defence system for 23 minutes and dropped bombs on 11 airbases. India exposed Pakistan’s military power to the world by carrying out precise attacks on Sargodha, Noor Khan, Jacobabad and Rahrayar Khan airbases. India’s attacks were so effective and efficient that Pakistan had to come to its knees in just two days and had to plead for a ceasefire.
