After Delhi’s air pollution reached critical levels, the Delhi government has taken strict steps. From December 18, vehicles without a valid PUC certificate will not be supplied with petrol at petrol pumps. This will be monitored through cameras. In addition, vehicles below BS-VI norms coming from outside Delhi, especially trucks and commercial vehicles, have been banned from entering the city. Except for essential service vehicles, others have been banned.

Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa announced that this rule is being implemented under GRAP-4. AQI is around 360-380 . Construction work has also been stopped. The minister expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to Delhiites.
