PM Modi hugged the little girls who came to tie Rakhi and showered love and affection on them. The Prime Minister has also shared a picture of him getting Rakhi tied by school students on social media.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan 2025 at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi and celebrated the festival with a special festivities. Women and children from different walks of life gathered on the occasion to tie rakhis to the Prime Minister as a symbol of love, respect and blessings.
On this occasion, PM Modi said that Raksha Bandhan is a festival of brothers and sisters. In which the spirit of unity, love and mutual respect is reflected.
Women members of the spiritual organization Brahma Kumaris also tied a Rakhi on PM Modi’s wrist. Raksha Bandhan, celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravan, is a symbol of the sacred bond between brother and sister. Tying a Rakhi is a symbol of a sister praying for her brother’s well-being, while the brother vows to protect her in every situation.
