World’s Highest Railway Bridge Will Be Inaugurated Today

PM Modi to Inaugurate World’s Highest Railway Bridge: Jammu and Kashmir will create history on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give historic gifts to the state. He will dedicate the unique, wonderful and incomparable Chenab Bridge of Railways built on the Chenab River to the nation. This will add another jewel to the country’s glory.

PM will flag off the Vande Bharat train from Katra to Srinagar. This will connect Kashmir to Kanyakumari by rail and will bring Kashmir closer to Delhi. The dream of bringing a train to Kashmir, which was many years ago, will also be fulfilled. The state will move ahead on the journey of progress. Passengers will be able to travel in Vande Bharat from Saturday.

At the same time, multi-level security arrangements have been made due to PM Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Heavy security forces have been deployed in and around the venues. Latest gadgets, including drones have been deployed. The security grid has been further strengthened along the borders and in the hinterland to prevent infiltration and the movement of anti-national and destructive elements. This is PM Modi’s first visit to the Union Territory after Operation Sindoor, following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.

PM will inaugurate development projects worth more than

Rs 46,000 crore. This includes the 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project constructed at Rs 43,780 crore. USBRL will provide direct train connectivity to the valley. All-weather seamless rail connectivity will be established between Kashmir and the rest of the country.

The fare of chair car is Rs 715 and that of EC is Rs 1320.
The fare of Chair Car (CC) from Katra to Srinagar will be Rs 715, while Executive Class (EC) AC will be Rs 1320. In the afternoon train from Srinagar to Katra, the fare of Chair Car is Rs 880 while AC is Rs 1515. The train will cover the 190 km journey one way in three hours and five minutes.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the Katra-Srinagar railway line will prove to be a new ray of hope for development in the state. Jammu and Kashmir is sure to progress with this. Friday will prove to be a milestone for the state. The dream of connecting the valley with the rest of India is about to be fulfilled. This will increase both tourism and business. Development will get a new momentum. Fruits and vegetables of the valley will easily reach the markets of other states. Tourists from any corner of the country will now be able to easily reach the valley by road, air and rail.
