PM Modi To Visit China, Japan: Ministry Of External Affairs Announces: Prime Minister Modi will visit Japan and China from August 30 to September 1. The Ministry of External Affairs officially announced the schedule. The Prime Minister will visit Japan on August 30, where he will meet Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the India-Japan Annual Summit.
During this, issues like investment and strategic cooperation between India and Japan will be discussed. After this, he will participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting held in Tianjin city of China, between 31 August and 1 September.
These issues will be discussed
During this visit, the two Prime Ministers will review the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan, including defense and security, trade, economy, technology and innovation, and people-to-people exchanges. Along with this, they will also discuss issues of regional and global importance. This visit will reaffirm the long-standing special friendly bond between the two countries.
Meeting with the President of China in the second phase
In the second leg of the visit, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, PM Modi will visit China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SGO) summit in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September 2025. During the summit, the Prime Minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with several leaders attending the summit. Let us tell you, India has been a member of the SCO since 2017. India will chair the Council of Heads of State of the SCO during 2022-23.
