Pollution certificate verification has been postponed till April 1
Pollution Certificate Verification Date Extend : Pollution certificate verification has been postponed till April 1.The Commerce and Transport Minister has informed. Along with this, the fine imposed for e-detection at toll gates has also been suspended. On the other hand, the Minister has ordered a study to reduce the fine of Rs 10,000 imposed under the Motor Vehicles Act for not having a pollution certificate. Similarly, the Minister has appealed to not use vehicles that cause pollution in view of environmental protection. He has also advised to get a mandatory pollution certificate done under the Motor Vehicles Act during this period.
The Minister said, it is everyone’s responsibility to check the pollution of vehicles. Air quality is getting worse day by day. It is everyone’s duty to work towards its improvement. Therefore, a strict approach has been taken to check pollution with the aim of protecting the environment in transport. It is also mandatory as per the Motor Vehicles Act. In Odisha, only 21 percent of vehicles have pollution certificates. Many vehicles are violating this rule on a large scale. Keeping this in mind, pollution certificates have been given importance to increase awareness in this direction. Therefore, it has been decided to take measures for the benefit of the people who are facing problems.
