first of all , know that the security of the pm of india is in the hands of the special protection group (SPG).
The special protection group was established in 1985 to provide security to the prime minister , former prime minister and their families . SPG is known for its rigorous training of its officers, discipline and constant upgradation in security , this is the reason why spg is considered one of the most trusted security agencies .
The process of becoming a SPG (special protection group) commando is very difficult .
to become a spg commando , it os mandatory for you to be from CRPF,CISF,BSF,ITBP.
Actully , spg does not recruit directly . the jawan who joins spg is already a part of the special force and has a lot of experience .
Soldier selected from indian police service (ips) ,central industrial security force (cisf) , border security force (BSF) and central reserve police force (CRPF) are included in the SPG .
Even after this , they are given world class training ,running,swimming,martial arts,using weapons,being mentally prepared,vigilance,fighting terrorists,fighting in the dark etc are part of the tough training of spg commandos .
Prime Minister Bodyguards salary
SPG jawans change groups every year . no jawan can serve for more than a year . after the completion of the tenure of spg commandos they are sent back . after this a vacancy list is again sent to these organizations by the home ministery . The salary of spg commando ranges from rs 84000 to rs 24000 approsimately (monthly) depending on their rank and experience . This also includes special allowance , risk allowance , and other benefits , spg commandos deployed on operational duty get a dress allowance of rs 27 800 per annum and commandos on non-operatonal duty get a dress allowance of rs 21225 per annum separately .
