Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Hospitalised With Fever: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has been admitted to the ICU at Fortis Hospital in Mohali after suffering from a high fever and deteriorating health over the past two days. Initially treated at his official residence, his condition worsened, prompting hospitalisation.
Cancelled Public Engagements
CM Mann cancelled a scheduled visit with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to flood-affected areas, including Kapurthala district. A cabinet meeting, which was supposed to address relief and rescue operations, was also cancelled on Friday due to his condition.
Kejriwal’s Statement
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal stated that Mann had been working continuously without proper rest or food for several days. On visiting him, Kejriwal urged Mann to take a two-day rest. He praised Mann’s dedication, noting that even while unwell, Mann was focused on helping flood victims.
Flood Situation in Punjab 1,698 villages across 23 districts have been affected. Over 380,000 people are impacted.At least 43 people have died due to the floods.
