Crops were destroyed in 1.74 lakh hectares. Meanwhile, the water of the rivers is continuously affecting the crops of the farmers in Punjab. The area of ​​crops destroyed by drowning in water has increased to 1,74,454 hectares. Crops have suffered the most damage in Fazilka, Kapurthala, Mansa, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, and Tarn Taran.

The Punjab government has set up 139 relief camps, in which 6121 people have been accommodated. So far, 3,87,013 people of the 1996 villages of the state are directly facing the impact of the floods.

Hope for a relief package from the central government: According to Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, the Punjab government is providing relief to the people through its own resources. If the central government releases a special relief package and the outstanding amount of the state, the situation can be controlled.
