What benefits provide railone app
RailOne App Launched: IRCTC Facilitates Booking Of Tickets, Checking Train Status, Tracking PNR Numbe : Taking a big step forward in technology and passenger convenience, Indian Railways on Tuesday launched the new ‘RailOne’ app. Railway Minister Ashwani Baishnab launched the app at the 40th foundation day celebrations of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) in New Delhi. The app will act as a single digital platform for passengers, where ticket booking, train status checking, PNR tracking and other services will be available together.
Key Features of RailOne App:
RailOne App is designed to provide multiple services to the passengers on a single platform. It integrates the existing IRCTC apps like Rail Connect, UTS, Rail Madad, Food on Track and National Train Enquiry System (NTES). Some of its key services are:
–Ticket Booking: Facility to book reserved, unreserved and platform tickets.
–PNR Tracking: Passengers can easily check their PNR status.
–Real-time Train Tracking: Facility to know the exact position of the train and coach position.
–Rail Madad Seva: Single platform for complaints and feedback.
–Food Order: Facility to order food on the train.
–R-Wallet: Easy payment facility through mPIN or biometric login.
–Single Sign-On (SSO): Passengers can log in to this app using their previous Rail Connect or UTS app login ID, which will reduce the hassle of remembering multiple passwords.
Earlier, passengers had to use separate apps to book tickets, order food or check train status. RailWaan has solved this problem by bringing all the services on one platform, which saves passengers time and mobile storage space. It comes with a multilingual interface and provides special facilities for the differently-abled, students and patients.
Other important updates:
Along with the launch of the Rail1 app, Indian Railways has also made some other changes. Aadhaar verification has been made mandatory for instant and urgent ticket bookings from July 1, 2025, which will prevent the misuse of bulk bookings by agents. In addition, the first reservation chart of a train will now be prepared 8 hours before the train’s departure, which will give more time than the earlier 4 hours. By December 2025, the railways’ reservation system will be upgraded to process 1.5 lakh reservations and 4 million inquiries per minute.
