Railways Announces Big Recruitment, Last Date To Apply Today: A great opportunity has come for the aspirants dreaming of a government job in the Railways. Southern Railway has issued a recruitment notification for a total of 3518 posts under Apprenticeship. The application process for this has started and interested candidates can apply online till 25th September 2025. For this, they have to visit the official website of Southern Railway sr.indianrailways.gov.in.
Under this recruitment drive, apprentices will be recruited in various factories and units of Southern Railway. These include Carriage and Wagon Works at Perambur, Golden Rock Central Workshop and Signal and Telecom Workshop Unit at Pondanur. A total of 3518 candidates will get apprenticeship opportunities at all these locations.

The educational qualification of the candidates is determined according to the post and trade. The candidates applying must have passed 10th, 12th or ITI. Along with this, the age limit is between minimum 15 years and maximum 22 to 24 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the government rules.
The application process will be completely online. Candidates will first have to go to the official website and click on the link Act Apprentice 2025-26. Then they will have to register and fill all the required details. After the registration is complete, they will have to log in and fill other details and submit the form. The application fee is Rs. 100 for general and OBC category candidates, while the application is free for SC, ST, Divyang and all women candidates.
The selected candidates will get a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship. 10th pass freshers will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000 and 12th pass or ITI holders will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 7000. This stipend will provide financial support to the candidates during the training and will also provide financial stability along with experience.
