Rain Forecast For 24 More Hours In The State! Alert Issued For These Districts : A cyclonic storm is active over South Bangladesh and its adjoining areas, with the department issuing an alert for heavy rainfall in northern interior and coastal Odisha. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely at many places in the state with one or two heavy rainfalls expected at one or two places for the next 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain with thunder and lightning and wind speed of 30 to 35 km per hour. For this, a yellow alert has been issued for many districts. Today, heavy rain with thunder is likely in Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Cuttack, Keonjhar etc. districts.
Similarly, there is a risk of thunderstorm in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Subarnapur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
A yellow warning has been issued for these districts till Thursday. Rainfall is expected to decrease from the 31st.
