Raksha Bandhan Mantra : Raksha Bandhan is considered a symbol of brother-sister love, it is being celebrated this year on 9th August on the day of Sawan Purnima. This day increases the importance of sweetness and strength in brother-sister relationships. Why is this mantra recited?

Important things to note
While tying the Rakhi, the brother’s face should be towards the west and the sister’s face should be towards the east. Then apply tilak to the brother before tying the Rakhi, then feed him sweets and tie the Rakhi and recite mantras and finally perform Aarti. Remember that the Rakhi should be tied on the brother’s right hand.
