Russia’s Largest-Ever Air Attack On Ukraine Burns The Kyiv Government Building: Russia has carried out another devastating attack on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. Russia attacked Ukraine with 805 drones and decoys on Sunday night. At least 4 people have died in this fierce drone and missile attack by Russia. While 11 others were injured. Kyiv’s cabinet building has also been destroyed in this attack. Along with this, many other government buildings have also collapsed. This attack was so terrible that Kiev has been shaken. This has created an atmosphere of great panic among the people. In return, Ukraine has claimed to have blown up Russia’s gas pipeline.
The biggest attack on Ukraine
This is the biggest drone attack carried out by the Russian military since the full-scale war in Ukraine began. Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuri Ihnat confirmed to the Associated Press that Sunday’s attack was the biggest attack by Russian drones so far. Russia also fired 13 different types of missiles along with it. According to an Air Force statement, Ukraine shot down or disabled 747 drones and four missiles. There were 9 missile attacks and 56 drone attacks in 37 locations across Ukraine. Debris from downed drones and missiles fell in 8 locations.
1-year-old child died in the attack
The attack was so devastating that even skyscrapers collapsed. High flames and black smoke were seen rising from many buildings. Ukrainian officials said on Sunday that the dead included an innocent one-year-old child who was pulled out of the rubble. Kyiv city administration chief Timur Tkachenko said that the child was found dead during relief and rescue operations, which further increased the tragedy of the incident.
A drone fell on residential buildings in Kyiv
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that the debris of the Russian drone fell in the capital’s Sviatoshinsky and Darnytsky districts, where a residential building suffered severe damage. Fire brigades and emergency services immediately reached the affected areas. The injured were then admitted to the hospital. Several apartments were badly damaged due to the attack, while vehicles parked nearby were also burnt to ashes. There is panic among residents, and many people have been temporarily sent to safer places.
Ukraine claims to have shot down several drones
The Ukrainian Air Force has claimed to have shot down some Russian drones, but it has not been possible to prevent all attacks. This attack has come at a time when there was a relatively calm atmosphere in Kyiv, which has again left citizens feeling fear and insecurity.
This incident is being condemned internationally, and it is being termed as targeted violence against civilians. The Ukrainian government has termed it a war crime and demanded strict action against Russia.
