India-Pakistan War: Will Sachin And Dhoni Be Sent To Border If India-Pakistan War Starts?
Sachin And Dhoni Be Sent To the Border If India-Pakistan War Starts: Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot are part of the Territorial Army. Now, due to the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the Territorial Army may also be deployed on border duty. Under Rule 33 of the Territorial Army Rules 1948, the Department of Military Affairs of the Ministry of Defense has given the Army Chief the authority to call all the officers and soldiers of the Territorial Army for essential security duty or active service (embodiment) in support of the regular army.
According to the notification issued, out of the existing 32 Territorial Army Infantry battalions, 14 battalions will be deployed in various military commands of the country, Southern Command, Eastern Command, Western Command, Central Command, Northern Command, South-Western Command, Andaman and Nicobar Command, and Army Training Command (ARTRAC). Deployment will be done only if funds are available in the budget for it or it is reallocated from the savings of the internal budget. If the unit of the Territorial Army is deployed on the request of another ministry, then its cost will be deducted from the budget of the concerned ministry, not from the budget of the Ministry of Defense.
