Shradddha Kapoor Injured While Shooting A Dance
Bad news is coming for fans of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor. The actress has reportedly been injured during the shooting of her upcoming film ‘Eetha’. Due to this, the work on the film has been stopped for the time being. According to media reports, Shraddha injured her leg and suffered a fracture while performing a Lavani dance sequence. In the film ‘Eetha’, Shraddha Kapoor is playing the challenging role of Maharashtra’s legendary ‘Tamasha’ artist Vithabaai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. She has also gained more than 15 kg of weight for this role.
Lavani is a special form of music characterized by a fast tempo, melody, and a powerful rhythm. In this song, composed by Ajay-Atul, Shraddha Kapoor, dressed in a vibrant Nauvari sari, heavy jewelry, and a kamarpatta, had to perform a series of steps in quick succession to the fast beats of the dholki. Having gained a lot of weight to portray the younger version of Vithabai, during one step, she accidentally put all her weight on her left leg, losing her balance and injuring herself.
What advice did the doctors give?
According to our sources, Shraddha continued shooting despite the injury, but after a few days, when the pain became unbearable, she had to stop. Doctors have advised her to rest for now. The unit will reassemble in two weeks, by which time Shraddha will be fully recovered.
“Eetha” is a biopic that hasn’t been officially announced yet. The film is being directed by Laxman Utekar, who has previously helmed successful films like “Mimi.” The film is based on the life struggles of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar and her contributions to folk art. Shraddha Kapoor’s morale is already high with Stree 2. Now, it remains to be seen what impact this film can have on her.
