Applicants can easily apply online and get all the benefits after fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
Who is eligible for this scheme?
This scheme is only for those who are engaged in sewing or tailoring profession or want to start one. The age of the applicant must be above 18 years as on the date of application.
Applicants must not have previously availed a loan under any government credit-based scheme like PMMY, MUDRA, or PM Swanidhi in the last five years. Only one member of a family can benefit from this scheme. Government employees and their family members are not eligible.
Benefits and advantages of the scheme…
Under this scheme, modern sewing training is provided. A daily stipend of Rs. 500 is provided during the training period. A certificate is issued after completion of the training. The government also provides financial assistance of up to Rs. 15,000 for purchasing a tool kit.
Loans up to Rs 1 lakh in the first phase and up to Rs 2 lakh in the second phase are provided at an interest rate of just 5 percent for sewing machines or business expansion. Training programs are conducted by the MSME Department at the district and tehsil levels.

- To avail the benefits of the scheme, applicants will first have to register on the website pmvishwakarma.gov.in.
- After completing the registration, the applicant beneficiary logs in by entering his mobile number and captcha code.
- After logging in, they will have to fill out the artisan registration form.
- After successful registration, they can download their digital ID and certificate. After that, they apply for tailor-made schemes including toolkits and loans under various components.
- The application can be submitted by uploading the required documents.
- Offline applications can also be completed at the nearest CSC center.
