Be careful if you are installing tinted windows on four-wheelers
The state government has taken steps to prevent the increasing traffic problems and crimes committed in the area of vehicles. After receiving complaints of crimes committed by tinting some four-wheelers, the government has come into action mode. In this regard, the government has directed the traffic department to stop and punish all the four-wheelers with tinted windows. After this, the traffic department is taking strict action.
In this regard, answering a question from BJD MLA Anant Narayan Jena in the House, the Minister of State for Transport, Bibhuti Bhushan Jena said that between January 2024 and October 2025, action has been taken against 214 vehicle owners with tinted windows and e-challans have been deducted. Out of which, 162 vehicles are in Bhubaneswar. A fine of Rs 500 each and Rs 1 lakh has been collected from 20 vehicle owners. The prosecution report against the remaining 194 vehicle owners is with the magistrate for consideration.
