But Ramanand Sagar assured him that according to his height and physique, he was perfect for the role. Only then did he agree to play Hanuman. This Ramayana came in 1987, which ran till 31 July 1988.
But Sunny Deol is playing the role of Hanuman at the age of 67. Which is much older than Dara Singh. There is a gap of about 5 years.
