The Five Star Ollywood Festival 2025 Odisha Celebrated In Singapore
Ollywood Festival – The preparations for the upcoming Five Star Ollywood Awards in Singapore are in full swing. For the second time in the history of Odia films, this film festival is being organized outside the country in a joint effort of RR Events and Cine Productions and the Odia Society of Singapore.
It is said that Ramesh Barik, founder of RR Events and Cine Productions, has a great desire to take the Ollywood Awards outside India and give it international recognition and respect. Earlier, for the first time outside the country, R.R.E.C.P. organized this award ceremony in Dubai last year with great success.
The colorful festival, named Five Star Film Awards-2025 Singapore, will showcase the finest art, culture and high-quality films of Odisha, the organizers said. The grand and divine festival will also feature an exhibition of Odisha handicrafts, a fashion show by the Bayanika, captivating Odissi dance and melodious music. The global film festival, which is scheduled to begin on the afternoon of the 10th at the Quantum Arena auditorium of One World International School in Singapore, is expected to be attended by thousands of respected Odia people, Ollywood lovers and fans of Odia stars based in Singapore.
Around 100 renowned artists from the world of Odisha film, dance and music are set to fly from Bhubaneswar to Singapore to attend the 5 Star Film Awards. The second International Odia Film Awards ceremony will be graced by the presence of Indian High Commissioner First Officer Sanyan Joshi, prominent industrialist K. Ramamurthy, MLA Akash Das Nayak, Prashant Jayadeb, Agasti Behera, and others.
The committee to select the winners is headed by noted film director Sabyasachi Mohapatra. The main objective of the festival is to promote and establish the quality and excellence of Odia cinema in the global arena, organizer Ramesh Barik told the media.
