5 big decisions of the Union Cabinet

The Union Cabinet 5 Big Decisions : An important meeting of the Union Cabinet was held today. In this, the government has taken five major decisions. The government has approved an additional budget proposal of Rs 12060 crore for the Ujjwala Yojana. 10 crore 33 lakh people will benefit from this decision of the government. In addition, the government has decided an additional budget of Rs 30 thousand crore for affordable LPG cylinders. The central government has given a big assurance to the general public and technical educational institutions under the protection of the people.

Among other decisions taken in the Modi government’s cabinet meeting, budget for technical education, development of Assam and Tripura, Markanam-Puducherry 4-lane highway has been approved. The government has approved a budget of Rs 4200 crore for technical education institutes. At the same time, Rs 4250 crore has been approved as a special development fund for the development of Assam and Tripura. The government has also approved Rs 2157 crore for Markanam-Puducherry 4-lane highway.

• 3000 crore rupees to cover losses

The Cabinet has approved an LPG subsidy of Rs 3000 crore to meet the losses incurred by state-owned oil companies – Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) due to selling LPG at below cost in the last 15 months. According to a government statement, the compensation will be given to the oil marketing companies (OMCs) in 12 Installments .
