Two hospitals Were Evacuated Amid The Threat Of Flood In Delhi: The water level of the Yamuna River in Delhi is continuously rising, resulting in the submergence of several areas of the city, where only water can be seen. In view of the threat of flooding in low-lying areas, Sant Paramanand Hospital in Yamuna Bazaar was evacuated on Thursday as a precautionary measure. All admitted patients were safely transferred to other hospitals, and the hospital was completely vacated, resulting in the suspension of OPD services for the day. Notably, during a previous flood, water had entered the hospital premises, prompting this early evacuation to avoid a similar situation. In a related move, five patients were also transferred from Sushrut Trauma Centre in Civil Lines to Lok Nayak Hospital, including one patient in the ICU. Although the Yamuna’s water has not yet reached the trauma center, authorities have taken all necessary precautions to ensure safety.
It is noteworthy that the water level in the Yamuna has increased, and the surrounding areas are being flooded. Due to this, precautionary measures are being taken. Earlier, during the flood in the Yamuna, floodwater reached Sant Paramananda Hospital. At that time, the hospital was evacuated. An official of the hospital said that this time, the hospital has been evacuated in advance as a precaution. The admitted patients have been safely shifted to another hospital. The hospital is empty, so even the OPD was not functioning here on Thursday. Meanwhile, five patients have also been shifted from another hospital, Sushrut Trauma Center. Out of these, one patient was admitted to the ICU for treatment. All these patients have been admitted to Loknayak Hospital. However, the water of the Yamuna has not reached the trauma center even now, but all precautionary measures have been taken here.
