Tamil actor-comedian Madhan Bob passes away
Veteran Tamil Actor-Comedian Krishnamurthy Dies At 71: A very sad news has come out from the Tamil industry. Veteran actor and comedian of Tamil cinema S. Krishnamurthy, popularly known as Madhavan Bob, passed away at the age of 71. He was suffering from cancer for a long time and breathed his last on August 2 at his residence in Adyar, Chennai. His death has caused a wave of mourning in the Tamil film industry and among his fans.
Madhavan Bob, born on 19 October 1953, started his career as a musician. Later, he entered the world of acting and made his special identity in comedy. Bob’s eye expressions, gestures, and style of dialogue delivery made him very popular among the audience.
Such was Krishnamurthy’s film career
He started his acting career in 1984 with Balu Mahendra’s film ‘Neengal Kettavai’, but he got real recognition from the film ‘Vaanme Ellai’. After this, he never looked back and acted in more than 700 films in his film career.
Her major films include names like ‘Thenali’ (Diamond Babu), ‘Pammal K. Sambandam’, ‘Friends’ (Manager Sundareswaran) and ‘Sathi Leelavathi’. She shared the screen with superstars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar, Vijay and Surya.
Madhavan Bob’s specialty was that he used to bring light moments through comedy even in serious films, which provided relief to the audience. Apart from this, he also worked in two Malayalam and one Hindi film.
Choreographer Prabhu Deva expressed grief over the death of the actor
His contribution to the field of music was also no less. He took training in Carnatic and Western classical music from gurus like Vikku Vinayakram and Harihar Sharma. He also appeared as a judge in Sun TV’s show ‘Asathapovathu Yaaru’. Actor and choreographer Prabhu Deva mourned his demise and, while sharing the post, said, “Madhavan Bob’s presence always created a positive atmosphere on the set. He was humble, cheerful, and a wonderful person.” However, if we talk about his personal life, he has two children, a daughter and a son.
