Veteran Telugu Actor Kota Srinivasa Rao Passes Away At 83: Veteran Telugu cinema actor and former MLA Kota Srinivas Rao died on Sunday. He was 83 years old and had been suffering from age-related diseases for a long time. Rao breathed his last at his residence. This news has come as a big shock to the cinema world. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Governor Abdul Nazir on Sunday condoled the death of veteran Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao. “My tributes to Padma Shri awardee Rao, who mesmerized audiences with his acting talent. I offer my deepest condolences to his family,” the chief minister said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’. Governor Abdul Nazir also condoled Rao’s death, saying the actor left an indelible mark on people’s hearts with his performances on stage and screen.
Srinivasa Rao Career
Srinivas Rao acted in 750 films in his career spanning more than four decades. He started his film career with ‘Pranam Khareedu’ in 1978. Films like ‘Satruvu’, ‘Aha! Na Pellanta’, ‘Hello Brother’, ‘Money’, director Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Shiva’ and ‘Gayam’ brought immense fame to Srinivas Rao. Padma Shri awardee Srinivas Rao was a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Vijayawada East Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh from 1999 to 2004.
