India Will Face Pakistan in WCL-2025
WCL-2025: The Indian team struggled against the West Indies in the last league match of the World Championship of Legends tournament. This match was a do or die situation for the Indian team. The Yuvraj Singh-led Indian team needed to win by a big margin. Because the low run rate for the Indian team was hindering their progress to the semi-finals.
However, in the last league match, the West Indies team batted first and scored 144 runs in the allotted 20 overs. India needed 145 runs in 14.1 overs to qualify for the semi-finals. The Indian team performed brilliantly in batting as well as bowling. India scored 148 runs in 13.2 overs and secured their ticket to the semi-finals with a big win.
India Enters Semi-Finals
Stuart Binny, Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan played explosive innings for the Indian team and played a key role in helping the team win. Stuart scored an unbeaten 50 runs off 21 balls while Yusuf Pathan played a smoky inning of 21 runs off 7 balls. Similarly, captain Yuvraj Singh scored 21 runs off 11 balls while Shikhar Dhawan played a crucial inning of 25 runs off 18 balls.
However, due to such an explosive innings by the Indian batsmen, the Indian team defeated the West Indies by a large margin. Earlier, in the bowling department, Piyush Chawla took 3 wickets for just 18 runs in his 4 overs, while Stuart Binny took 2 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs.
After this big win, the Indian team has secured 4th place in the league stage and has advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, the Indian team will face the group toppers Pakistan. It is worth mentioning that India’s match against Pakistan in the league stage was cancelled.
