Cold has started to set in at some places in northern and interior Odisha. The cold wave will continue till the 10th. Meteorologist Sharat Sahu has said that the cold wave will intensify across the state from the 11th. Night temperatures have been falling in the state for the past two days. The temperature has dropped by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in most places on Monday night from Sunday night. Winter is also a reality.

It is likely to decrease further. Tonight (Tuesday) the temperature is likely to drop by 1 degree. On Wednesday, the temperature will increase by 2 degrees. But from the 7th, it will be cold again. On the 8th, the temperature is likely to drop to 13 degrees in many areas of Kandhamal. The night temperature will be 14 degrees in Rourkela, 16 degrees in Sambalpur, and 15 degrees in Gajapati. Agricultural Meteorological Specialist Dr. Surendranath Pashupalak has informed that winter will also increase in coastal Odisha. According to the forecast of the Regional Meteorological Center, the temperature has been 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the last two days. But there is no possibility of any change in the night temperature of the state for the next 6 to 7 days.
The maximum temperature in Bhubaneswar for the next 24 hours will be 31 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 21 degrees. The sky will be partly cloudy. In the last 24 hours, the temperature in North Odisha and South Coastal Odisha has been normal. The temperature in South Interior Odisha will be normal. On Sunday, the night temperature in Daringbadi was 18 degrees, while on Monday it dropped by 3 degrees to 15 degrees. Similarly, the temperature in Phulbani dropped from 18.5 degrees to 15 degrees on Monday. The temperature in Koraput was 16 degrees, while it was 15.4 degrees. The night temperature in 9 places in the state was below 20 degrees on Monday.
