According to the scriptures, Mahaprabhu appeared on the Jyostha Purnima day. Since everyone, regardless of caste, color, and creed, saw the first abode of Mahaprabhu on the Jyostha Purnima, this festival is also called the Patitpavan Lila. Between the bedha of the temple, between Devi Vishwanthala and Bahan Singh, there is an ancient golden well. It is said to be a well with many blessings. The guardian of this well is Maashitala. Only the head of Maashitala, the goddess of the underworld, is visible between the bedha on the south side of the Singhadwar entrance. It is believed that the goddess will fully appear at the end of Kali Yuga.

On the eve of Dev Sanwan Purnima, holy water is brought from the golden well. Only once a year, on the eve of Sanwan Purnima, the inside of the golden well is cleaned and the water is purified, and the water is brought in 108 kalas. This water is brought only by the servants of Sunagosei, Mudirasta, and Garabdu. After bringing the water, the well is covered again. The water from that well is not been used for a year.
