27 Airports Closed Announcement For War Situation : Air strikes have started between India and Pakistan, missile attacks are taking place from both sides. This is affecting many flights. Many aviation companies have also issued travel advisory for their passengers. In view of the attack, 27 airports across the country have been closed. Along with this, Air India has advised passengers to reach the airport three hours before time and has said that check-in will be closed 75 minutes before departure. 27 airports across the country have been closed on Thursday amid increasing tension between India and Pakistan.

A statement issued by Air India said, “In view of the order of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security to increase security measures at airports, passengers across India are advised to reach their respective airports at least three hours before the scheduled departure to ensure smooth check-in and boarding. Check-in will be closed 75 minutes before departure. Let us tell you that Pakistan has carried out fresh missile and drone attacks in Indian territory. Frustrated by India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Pakistani army tried to launch drone and missile attacks on several military bases in the northern and western regions of India on Thursday night. But India foiled these attacks through the S-400 air defense system.
AKASA Air also issued advisory
Like Air India, Akasa Air has also issued an advisory. The advisory states, “Due to increased security measures at all airports across India, we request you to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure to ensure a seamless check-in and boarding experience.
Akasa Air said, “Please ensure that you carry a valid government-approved photo identity document for entry into the airport. Apart from your check-inbaggage, only one handbag weighing up to 7 kg will be allowed. As per regulatory guidelines, all passengers will have to undergo secondary security checks before boarding…
Indigo – Indigo said that more than 165 flights have been cancelled from several domestic airports till the morning of May 10 due to airspace restrictions. Spice Airlines said- Due to the current situation, airports in parts of North India including Dharamsala (DHM), Leh (IXL), Jammu (IXJ), Srinagar (SXR) and Amritsar (ATQ) are closed till further notice. Departure, arrival and resultant flights may be affected. Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and check flight status.
