Chit Fund Scam: CM Orders Refund Of Money To 5 Lakh Small Investors . Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday directed the authorities to provide compensation to an additional five lakh small investors who were cheated by various chit fund companies in the state. According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), these investors will get their money back in the next three to four months.

Chit Fund Scam money return -The CMO said that the new government has refunded Rs 47.07 crore to 1,26,137 small investors in the last one year. On the other hand, officials claimed that between 2014 and 2024, the previous BJD government refunded Rs 119 crore to only 2,79,109 small investors.

According to the statement, the state government, on the directions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has simplified and decentralized the process of refunding chit fund money. This move is being seen as a significant step towards providing justice to lakhs of investors who have been affected by chit fund frauds in the state.
