Amresh Jena Suspended From BJD After Arrest In Minor Girl Rape Case : BJD corporator Amresh Jena arrested. Commissionerate police arrested him from Balasore. BMC corporator Amresh Jena has been suspended from BJD after his arrest. The arrest of Amresh Jena from Nilagiri area of Balasore district has created a stir in the area. The Commissionerate police arrested five accomplices and tried them in court on the charge of repeatedly having physical relations with a young woman on the promise of marriage and raping her. The main accused, Corporator Ameresh Jena, was absconding. There was talk in various media that he had absconded outside the state. Laxmisagar police station in Bhubaneswar formed a special team in this regard. The corporator in question was arrested from Kalakad village under Barhampur police station in Nilagiri block at 11 am on Sunday.
According to information, a complaint has been filed against Corporator Ameresh Jena alias Bayan. A young woman has filed a complaint at Laxmi Sagar police station for allegedly raping and aborting a minor girl on the promise of marriage and threatening her with death. In this regard, Laxmi Sagar police station has registered a case under Sections 64(2)(M), 89, 296, 351(2) of the IPC and Section 6 of the POCSO Act-2012 in Case No. 394.
In February 2024, after she told him that she was two months pregnant, Bayan cleverly aborted her pregnancy. He said that things were not going well with my wife. I will file for divorce in a few months. So you abort the pregnancy. After the divorce, we will get married. After that, the young woman aborted the pregnancy. Even after the abortion, both of them went to different places and had sex as before. Then, in April last year, Bayan took the young woman in his car and suddenly took away her mobile phone. And asked her to stay away. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about their relationship and the incident. Regarding this, the young woman filed a complaint against Bayan at the Laxmisagar police station.
