Heavy Rains In Delhi-NCR: 100 Flights Delayed, 40 Diverted: Heavily raining and dust storms pounded the Delhi-NCR area on Friday. As a result of this inclement weather, air operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport have come under heavy impact. Approximately 100 flights were delayed and 40 flights were diverted to other airports.
Reports state that Delhi and surrounding regions have been pounded by rains accompanied by dust storms since Friday (May 2) morning. This has reduced visibility in the Delhi-NCR region and resulted in disrupted flights. Airport staff and airlines have asked passengers to check the availability of their flights.

As a result of this natural disaster, passengers have been observed waiting for hours at the airport. Some flights are also likely to be canceled. Airlines are attempting to inform passengers according to the schedule.
It has been predicted by the weather department that rain would prevail in Delhi-NCR over the next couple of hours, which could influence air operations once again. Passengers are hereby requested to bear with the situation and stay connected with the airlines in this scenario.
Besides, there have been reports of traffic and drainage issues within the city. It has been learnt that local authorities are initiating measures to remedy the issue.
