ISRO’s LVM3-M6 Mission Has Been Finalized to be launch
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that its LVM3-M6 mission will be launched on December 24 at 8:54 am IST. The heavy-lift vehicle will be launched from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) in Sriharikota.

LVM3, also known as Gaganyaan Launch Vehicle, is ISRO’s most powerful rocket and plays a crucial role in the mission with its high payload capacity. In addition, ISRO has announced that the public will be allowed to watch the launch live from the Launch View Gallery at SDSC SHAR. Interested visitors can register online on the government portal https://lvg.shar.gov.in/VSCREGISTRATION/index.jsp.
India’s heaviest rocket, LVM3, is the designated launch vehicle for the Gaganyaan programme. It is ISRO’s most powerful launcher and is designed to carry high-value and heavy-weight payloads into orbit.
As per a commercial agreement signed by New Space India Limited (NSIL), the mission will see the LVM3 rocket place US-based AST SpaceMobile’s Blue Bird-6 communications satellite into orbit, marking another milestone in India’s growing presence in the global launch services market.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh had earlier told Parliament that the mission reflects ISRO’s growing role as a commercial launch provider, with Indian rockets increasingly being used for international satellite launches.
