Nayanthara Documentary In Legal Trouble Again: Legal Notice Worth ₹5 Crore Sent: Actress Nayanthara’s Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’ is once again in controversy. Earlier, Dhanash had filed a case against the actress and the producers. And now the company that produced this documentary has been sent a legal notice by the makers of the 2025 hit film ‘Chandramukhi’ because they have used the footage of the film without permission in the series. The Madras High Court has also issued a notice on July 8.
According to the report of ‘Live Law’, the Madras High Court has sent a notice to Torque Studios LLP and Entertainment Services India LLP for using unauthorized footage of ‘Chandramukhi’ in ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’. These notices were issued on a petition filed by AP International, which had the copyright of the film. The company has the rights to audio and video songs. However, this does not include audio cassette and audio CD rights in some countries.
Producers of Nayanthara’s documentary have to pay damages
It has been claimed that the production and OTT platforms have used the footage of the film in the series without permission or a license. The company said that they have sent an order to the producers and asked them to pay a fine of Rs 5 crore. It is being said that the producers then allegedly contacted the company to get the rights.

Demand to remove footage from Nayanratara’s documentary
The company is now demanding from the court that the producers be stopped from using a particular footage. And they can be asked to remove those parts of the documentary where Chandramukhi footage was used. Let us tell you that this documentary of Nayanthara was released in 2024, in which her personal and professional life was shown.
